Sample Contract Motorhome QualificationsTo initially qualify for Good Sam Extended Service Plan coverage, your Motorhome can be up to 12 years old and must have 80,000 miles or less. For new rigs, our Plan protects RVs with a purchase price up to $1 million. For used vehicles, our Plan protects RVs with a current value up to $750,000. With continued Good Sam Extended Service Plan coverage, your RV can be protected until the rig is 16 years or has 150,000 total vehicle miles.

Chassis

  • Transmission

    Covers all parts of the transmission assembly, except for the following: all hoses, any after-market overdrive or under drive units, manual clutch assembly (includes any linkage), manual clutch hydraulics, any parts not originally supplied by the transmission manufacturer.

  • Suspension

    Covers all parts of the chassis suspension assembly, except for the following: rubber springs, worn or sagging coil and leaf springs, shock absorbers, air dryer and any parts not originally supplied by the chassis manufacturer.

  • Engine

    Covers all parts of the engine assembly, except for the following: carburetor, distributor cap, distributor rotor, drive belts, all hoses, EGR valve, exhaust pipes, emission items (air tubes, valves and pumps), catalytic converter, muffler, resonators, glow plugs, spark plugs, spark plug wires, engine exhaust brake, thermostat, any parts not originally supplied by the engine manufacturer.

  • Chassis Electrical

    Covers all electrical parts as originally supplied by the chassis manufacturer, except for the following: all wiring or fiber optics, light bulbs, sealed beams and lenses.

  • Heating/Cooling

    Covers all parts of the chassis heating and cooling system, except for the following: all hoses, radiator, thermostat, any parts not originally supplied by the chassis manufacturer.

  • Drive Axle

    (Front and Rear) Covers all parts of the drive axle assembly, except for the following: any parts not originally supplied by the chassis manufacturer.

  • Braking

    Covers all parts of the chassis braking assembly, except for the following: brake pads, brake linings, brake rotors and drums, trailer brake components, air dryer, overheated components due to excessive braking.

  • Fuel Delivery

    Covers all parts of the chassis fuel delivery system, except for the following: all rubber and metal-braided rubber fuel lines, fuel filters and fuel.

  • Steering

    Covers all parts of the steering assembly, except for the following: all hoses, belts and lines.

  • Dash Air Conditioning

    Covers all parts, except for the following: all hoses, belts and lines.

Accessories

  • Deluxe Appliance Coverage

    Covers all parts of stand-alone freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, stand-alone icemaker, electric fireplace, electrical components of a central vacuum system and trash compactor, except for the following: doors, door seals, handles, shelves, cabinets, and all wiring.

  • Awnings

    Covers the mechanical and electrical components of awnings

  • Entertainment Package

    Covers all built-in electronic audio/visual devices, except for the following: personal computers, flat panel display televisions larger than 42 inches, and any part or component not originally supplied by the coach manufacturer. Repairs will be made in accordance with the manufacturers’ guidelines.

  • Slide Out Room Unit(s)

    Covers all parts, except for the following: wooden structure or metal structure, slide-out room(s) weather seals, sealing boots and awning fabric.

  • Power Step Systems

    Covers all parts.

  • Factory installed, or factory-approved dealer-installed, stationary leveling jack system

    Covers all parts.

    Covers all electrical parts as supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: all wiring or fiber optics, light bulbs, lenses, cable systems, telephone systems, and any after-market navigational systems.

  • Auxiliary Powerplant/Generator

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, ignition rotor, injectors, exhaust systems, radiators, belts, hoses and all wiring.

  • Water Heater / Boiler

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer.

  • Fresh Water System

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: water filters.

  • Waste System

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: Whirlpool, jetted, or spa type bath systems and related accessories.

  • Roof Or Basement Air Conditioning

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: duct works.

  • L.P. Gas System

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: LP gas.

  • Coach Heating System

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: duct works.

  • Refrigerator

    Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, includes the refrigerator icemaker, except for the following: doors, door seals, handles, shelves and cabinets.

  • Range and Oven

    Gas, Electric, Convection, Microwave: Covers all parts as originally supplied by the coach manufacturer, except for the following: doors, handles, racks and cabinets.

Seals and Gaskets

  • Seals and Gaskets

    Seals and gaskets are covered for all Accessories, Systems and Appliances listed above for the life of the policy, and for all Chassis components listed above for vehicles with less than 70,000 miles and 7 years old or less when the claim is filed. Chassis seals and gaskets coverage can be extended for the life of the policy for a nominal additional fee.

Wear and Tear

    Claims will not be denied because the reason for failure of a covered part (under normal service) is wear and tear.

Sample Contract 5th Wheel/Travel Trailer Qualifications To initially qualify for Good Sam Extended Service Plan coverage, your RV can be up to 12 years old. Sample Contract Car, Truck, SUV Qualifications To qualify initially for Good Sam Extended Service Plan coverage, your vehicle can be up to 10 years old and must have less than 100,000 miles. Our Plan covers both new and used vehicles with a current value of up to $60,000. With continued Good Sam Extended Service Plan coverage, your vehicle can be protected until the vehicle is 12 years or has 115,000 total vehicle miles.
